Schedule Updates for the second week of classes: October 13-17

Dear DSAI students,

Please note the following schedule updates for the second week of classes:

First Year

  • Due to unforeseen circumstances, the "Foundation of Innovation" class scheduled for Tuesday, October 14 will not be held.
    You will receive more information regarding the make-up session during our next class on Tuesday, October 21, in the regular time slot.

[EDITED] Schedule Updates for the first week of classes: October 6-10

Dear DSAI students,

Please note the following schedule updates for the first week of classes:

First Year

  • Mathematics for AI I tutorials will not take place.

  • There will be no lecture for Fundamental Concepts of AI.

Second Year

  • The first lecture of "Basic Scientific and Soft Skills" has been moved from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (same room).

  • Lectures from "Algorithms and Data Structures II" are (permanently) moved from Thursday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  
  • There will be no lecture for "Machine Learning: Supervised Techniques".

  • Tutorials for "Mathematics for AI III" will take place as schedule during this week.

Dear DSAI students,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the "Data Science and Artificial Intelligence" study program at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

Attached, you will find the schedule for the Winter Semester: First year, Second year (updated). Classes begin on Monday, October 6th, 2025. In the first week, you will have all classes as scheduled, except for "Fundamental concepts of AI" and "Machine Learning: Supervised Techniques". Please check regularly the course page for any updates. 

For First Year Students

  • You will soon receive instructions on how to activate your etf.unsa.ba email account. From this point forward, all official communication will be sent to this address, so please make sure to activate it as soon as possible.
  • In addition, you will receive a welcome email with important information to help you start your academic journey successfully. The introductory lecture will also be shared with you by email, providing guidance to ensure a smooth beginning of the academic year.
  • To make your first days at ETF more comfortable, senior students will be available to guide you, answer your questions, and share their experiences. This is a great opportunity to connect with them, seek advice, and prepare yourself for your future academic life.

Many of you are enrolling at the University for the first time, so I’ve compiled an introductory glossary to help you navigate your first year. If you notice any terms missing, please don’t hesitate to contact me, as this glossary is a work in progress.

I encourage you to read through it during your first week at the University.

DSAI Winter Semester 2024 Schedule & Updates

Dear DSAI students,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the "Data Science and Artificial Intelligence" study program at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

Attached, you will find the schedule for the Winter Semester. Classes begin on Monday, October 7th, 2024. In the first week, you will have all classes as scheduled.

Additionally, we will have an Introductory Lecture.
Join us on Monday in Classroom A4 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM for an introductory lecture where we will cover essential aspects of studying at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

Group Photo:
Immediately following the lecture, we will gather for a group photo at 11:30 AM in front of the Faculty. I encourage everyone to participate, as it’s a great opportunity to commemorate this special occasion together.

Schedule Updates:
Please note a slight change in our schedule for the first week:

  • The course Fundamental Concepts of AI will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
  • The course Foundations of Innovation will take place on Friday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
